INSURANCE

We take the utmost care with every shipment. But some circumstances are simply beyond our control. GSC shipping insurance covers the full value of your goods against all risks.

Every shipment we accept is covered by standard global conventions, as specified in our Terms & Conditions. However, these offer limited liability based on weight, not the actual value of your shipment.

With GSC shipping insurance, there’s no need to use a separate insurance provider. Simply add this to your service, when you book a shipment to manage your worldwide shipping with just one supplier.

ADDITIONAL CUSTOMS SERVICES

Duties & tax advancement

On request, we can cover any duties and local taxes levied during customs clearance, so your shipment doesn’t get held up waiting for payment.

Delivery duties paid (DDP)

You can opt to take responsibility for any applicable customs duties and local taxes on your shipment, so the receiver doesn’t get the bill. We may be able to pay these on your behalf and charge it back to you.

Special clearance activities

We can help with non-standard customs declarations and transit documents in cases such as return for repair or temporary import/export.

Other governmental agencies

We’re here to advise and assist when additional government agencies and regulations are involved in clearing your shipment (e.g. medical or telecommunications equipment).

GSC is certified by: AEO (Authorized Economic Operator), PiP (Partners in Protection), STP+ (Secure Trade Partnership Plus) and C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism).

 

IMPORT

Ordering a collection in more than 175 countries is as easy as booking a collection from your own office.

GSC’s Express Import service takes the hassle out of bringing shipments from abroad as an importer. For registered users of myGSC, receiving a shipment is as easy as sending one — with no need to contact a shipper in the country of origin.

We’ll collect your package in more than 175 countries, transport it as quickly as you choose, clear customs and cover any import duty required. So it’s on your desk the next morning — and you have just one invoice to pay, with costs billed in your own currency.

Unlike other express delivery services, GSC’s Express Import provides a cost quote before you book. So you can choose exactly when your shipment will arrive and how much it will cost.

DANGEROUS GOODS

We move dangerous goods around the world every day - with the utmost safety and regulatory compliance.

Whether by road, sea or air, GSC is licensed to handle hazardous materials with the highest level of expertise and the strictest procedures to ensure safety and compliance at all times.

Any articles or substances capable of posing a significant risk to health, safety, property or the environment are classified as ‘dangerous goods’. As a shipper of such materials, you need to be fully compliant with applicable rules and regulations. So you need a reputable transportation partner you can count on.

Acceptability & limitations

Dangerous goods, including hazardous chemicals, must be prepared and packaged in accordance with all regulatory requirements. It is your responsibility as shipper to declare these items and ensure they are properly packed, marked, labelled and accompanied by the correct documentation. Additional restrictions apply in some countries. Certain types of shipments may only be accepted from dangerous-goods-approved customers to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and restrictions.

LATE COLLECTION      

For collections outside our usual hours, on-demand collection service means your goods can start their journey whenever you're ready.

SATURDAY COLLECTION/DELIVERY

For weekend service, we can collect on Friday and deliver on Saturday or collect on Saturday and deliver on Monday.

REMOTE AREA SERVICE

Nowhere is too far or too difficult to reach. We can deliver and collect in hard-to-reach and remote locations. Check for postcode details

RESIDENTIAL DELIVERY SERVICE

Deliveries aren’t limited to business addresses. To meet your customer’s needs, we can deliver to residential addresses, too.

PRIORITY HANDLING

Choose prioritized handling from collection to delivery and your consignment will be clearly labelled with our priority sticker.

ADDITIONAL HANDLING

If your shipment exceeds our standard dimensions or can’t be handled on automated conveyor machinery, we’ll manage with additional handling.

MULTI-PIECE HANDLING

If your consignment contains more than one item, we’ll handle them together as one shipment.

SPECIAL HANDLING

If your cargo is an unusual size or shape, our team will ensure it’s handled as efficiently and safely as always, including:
